Captivated by Moving Grace

mesmerized,
her body glided
across the stage
moving lithely
with grace

a pirouette,
twirling and
spinning,
unbelievable
outstanding

extending her leg
above her head,
arching her back,
she fell faultlessly into
his awaiting arms

gently raising her body
above his head,
he twirled her,
a human arch,
delicate
balanced
beautiful

with controlled tension
and beautiful grace,
he gently lowered her body
to the floor
and the two
danced
as one

back and forth
across the stage,
stepping lightly,
barely touching
the floor
or the other’s hand

breathlessly,
I watched
the two
dance as one

from the depths
of my being
I applauded,
with tears of
   joy
    delight
         awe and
            amazement
streaming
   down
       my
          face

captivated
by the beauty of
beholding
two
become
one
in the
movement
of
grace

Come and Drink! Come and See! The LORD IS GOOD!!

Come and drink!
Come and see!
The Lord is good,
Is good to thee.

Come drink freely from the Vine,
taste new life that’s better than wine
an elixir of life
bringing peace and joy
unknown
until
one comes
and sits down
at the vine,
drinking freely
of Me,
forever.

Then you'll find
joy
love
peace
mercy
self-control
that come from drinking freely
of the source
of life
that never ends.

Drink freely, dearest one,
and forever
you will know
the joy of love,
in the midst of sorrow and pain,
and no longer search,
as an addicted one,
for anything but Me
to fill you up and
transform the
misery
and pain
that you have
lived with
for
so long

until

you choose
to come to Me
and bare your soul
and be set free
forever!

Two Roads (with apologies to Robert Frost)

Two roads diverged into a yellow wood
And mesmerized, there I stood
The fluttering leaves on a gentle breeze
Whispered to me with the ease…

Of a lover caressing his blossoming love
A match only made in heaven above,
Two kisses, a touch, a smile, a caress
The two entwined as they were blessed.

And with the breeze there came to be
A brilliant, red cardinal beckoning to me
My eyes followed his flittering flight
As my soul soared with gleaming delight...

Dreaming of places I’d not yet seen
People and cultures and frolicking streams
Dancing flowers splashed on meadows and moors
Brilliant sunsets over oceans and shores.

I stood amazed where the two roads diverged
And felt absolutely no nudging or urge
To move from this moment of reverie and delight
To break the beautiful moments that filled my sight

With joy, unspeakable to be present and know
Of the love that went into this beauty and glow.
May I always remember with love and with cheer
These beautiful moments, at this time of year.
